Training for a distance or triathlon swim is a lot more than about what happens in the water. During your call you will get little tips that Jay has picked up over the years including:

This is about you achieving your goals. Before jumping in and booking a consultation there are a few requirements to meet:

  • Swim Ability: It is advised that you should be able to swim 400m in under 12 minutes prior to booking this call.
  • Race: Although it can be worked around, having specific date and race in mind will be optimal
  • Distance: Any distance (including Ironman swims) up to 10km
  • Pace: This 1-2-1 will be for those who swim anywhere between 3mins to 1:45 per 100m
  • Be aware any swims you under take are at your own risk.

About Jay

Having swam competitively as a teenager in both the pool and open water, Jay rediscovered his love for the open water after watching the event in Hyde Park during the 2012 Olympics.

Since then Jay has trained for and completed various events at different distances: An Ironman swim in 1 hour 3 minutes and a 10km Marathon swim being the bees knees of the lot.

During the pandemic he qualified as an Open water swimming coach, STA Level 1, before starting The Wild Swim Store with his sister Tamsyn, also an open water lover.
